kuan yinThis is Kuan Yin.
Her mantra is said to be Namo Kuan Shi Yin Pu Sa, and she is known as She Who Hears the Cries of the World.
You can find a wonderful web site about Kuan Yin here, (although they call her Guan Yin)

I found this little gem in the John Bloefield Book, Bodhisattva of Compassion,

Wrathful? Banish thought of selfhood;
Sad? Let fall cause of woe;
Lustful? Shed lust's mental object;
Win all by simply letting go
(loosely translated from the Mahayana Canon)

There are so many books about Kuan Yin and among them I
honor John Bloefield's book as my favorite.

This story is about one of Kuan Yin's incarnations.

I honor Kuan Yin for the blessings and peace of compassion that she has brought me.

Om Mani Padme Hum Om,
Translation:
salutations to The Jewel of Consciousness (the mind) which has reached the heart's lotus.'
